Nina Gentry
Nina Josephine “Jo” Gentry, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 25, 2017.
She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Vicie Pogue. Jo was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church for 59 years where she was also a member of the Bethany Class. She loved her church dearly and her family very much.
She was also preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
Jo is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Howard Gentry, daughters, Pat (John) Rose, Becky Gentry, Kim (Jeff) Smith, all of Chattanooga, Sherry (Dennis) Fox of Marietta, Ga., grandson, Allen (Rebecca) Millsapps, granddaughters, Kara (Josh) Day, Krista Smith, great-granddaughter, Sophia Millsapps, brother, Billy Pogue, sister, Erline Shempert.
Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. on Friday, April 28, in the chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Chapel with Pastors Steve Rowland and Jim Evans officiating. Interment will follow the service at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
