Ruth Brown
Ruth Fox Brown, 98, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017, in a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in a trio. She was a 26-year employee of Sears.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Rodney Byron Brown, brothers, Earl Hale, Marvin Hale, Johnny Fox and Raymond Fox and sister, Gertrude Swope.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and special caregiver/friend, Joyce McRoy.
Funeral services are at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 24, in the chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Rev. Cloyd Bell officiating. Burial is in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, and 1 p.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.
