Donald Wayne Holdbrooks, 75, of Ringgold went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 20, 2017.
 
He was a member of Ringgold First Baptist Church. He served his country in the U. S. Marines and then retired in 2000 from the Chattanooga Police Department after 34 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved riding his motorcycle and working with wood.
 
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Kinley Holdbrooks and Daisy Holdbrooks King; one brother, Jimmy Holdbrooks; one nephew, Roy Dickson.
 
He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Holdbrooks; one sister, Glenda Davis; one half-sister, Sharon Kilgore; several grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
 
Family will receive friends at the Ringgold chapel of Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, April 23, from 4-8 p.m.
 
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 24, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Eric Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson Memorial Gardens.
 
Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
