  • Friday, April 14, 2017

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee was recognized by the Institute for Corporate Productivity for its innovative approaches to career development.

BlueCross was one of five companies nationwide presented with a Next Practice award. Others receiving the award included Ford Motor Company, Intel, Cigna and Ingersoll Rand. According to i4cp, these awards celebrate and highlight leading-edge people practices and the organizations implementing them.

“This national honor speaks volumes about our efforts to give our hard-working employees opportunities to develop their careers here,” said Gary Steele, vice president of human resources for BlueCross. “This achievement supports our goals for employee growth and development.”

i4cp said BlueCross was selected because it consolidated all existing career development events, activities, and learning opportunities together to design careers around experiences and employability.
