Loraine Bailey, 88, of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Bailey; her parents, Jack and Martha Lively, of Cartwright, TN; brothers, Thomas and Willard Lively of Chattanooga; and sisters, Mae MacGregor, of Clovis, NM and Ann Hatfield, of Russellville, AR.
She is survived by her son, Robert Mike Bailey ( Lois), of Hermitage, TN; sisters-in-law, Rita Lively and Mary Ruth Barker, both of Chattanooga; and many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces.
Loraine was a life long member of First Baptist Church in Whitwell, belonged to the Eastern Star, and Whitwell Senior Citizens. She will long be remembered for her servant spirit in volunteer work with local hospitals, elementary, and middle schools of Marion County.
The family wishes to thank the employees and residents of Valley View Assisted Living for their loving care and friendships.
Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, April 1, at 2 p.m. CDT, with Brother Jerry Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31, from 2-8 p.m. CDT.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church Whitwell or Whitwell Senior Citizens Center.
