The Plastic Surgery Group, Chattanooga’s first and largest plastic and reconstructive surgery practice, recently announced the addition of Dr. Todd Thurston to the group.

Dr. Thurston has a passion for cleft and craniofacial procedures in children. While training at the University of Alabama, Dr. Thurston recognized his passion for craniofacial procedures, noting they are transformational for the patient and their family.

“I want my patients and their families to know they will receive top notch care, cutting edge surgery, and a place to call home for all their plastic and reconstructive needs,” said Dr. Thurston.

Dr. Thurston received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed an Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency at The University of Kansas Medical Center and a craniofacial plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan Health Systems.

During his training, he dedicated himself to not only high volume pediatric cases but also the broader practice of plastic and reconstructive surgery. In addition to performing cleft and craniofacial procedures, he is well versed in the practice of aesthetic surgery.

Dr. Thurston enjoys the challenge of finding a unique solution for each patient’s case. “The amazing thing about plastic surgery is that is principle-based. This allows me to provide individualized patient care to address each patient’s unique needs.”

“I’m looking forward to working with The Plastic Surgery Group. They are well recognized and highly respected. I am excited to add to the capabilities of the group and teach the next generation of medical professionals.” said Dr. Thurston.

The Plastic Surgery Group managing partner Dr. Jason Rehm said, “We wanted to find a surgeon to join us who shares our passion. Dr. Thurston is a perfect fit. We are looking forward to seeing the difference he will make in our practice and community.”
