Thomas "Jim" Wood
Thomas James “Jim” Wood, 70, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, March 27, 2017.
He was born on Sept. 13, 1946, in Huntsville, to the late Horace Lester and Ruth Elizabeth McPherson Wood.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Wood, and a sister, Nancy Wood. He was retired from U.S. Xpress.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Sandra Wood; daughter, Wendy (Jeff) Tissier; sons, Timothy (Tamiko) Ellis and Chris (Jennifer) Ellis; grandchildren, Abby, Johann, Jonas, Tyler, Kyle and Josie; and a sister, Vikki (Don) Hutto.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday April 1, at 3 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-3 p.m. on Saturday.
