  • Monday, March 27, 2017

Parkridge Health System welcomes primary care physician Matthew J. Todd, M.D., to Parkridge Medical Group’s Diagnostic Center and back to Chattanooga.  Dr. Todd joins an ever-expanding team of physicians and providers and adds additional capacity and access for patients seeking a primary health care provider.

Dr.

Todd most recently served with the Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Ga, where he worked as a hospitalist for the past three years.  Prior to that, he was a hospitalist for Erlanger Health System from 2008 to 2014 and University Hospitalists of Chattanooga from 2003 to 2008.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. In 2000, Dr. Todd began his initial work in Chattanooga where he performed his internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine.  He is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

“We welcome Dr. Todd back to Chattanooga and look forward to the additional access point he affords for patients needing quality primary care,” said Tom Ozburn, Parkridge Health System President and CEO.

Dr. Todd and his wife are the parents of 12-year-old twins. In his free time, he enjoys many of the outdoor activities the Chattanooga area provides.  He is also a lifelong Georgia Bulldog fan despite now working in predominantly Big Orange country.

“I look forward to providing care for my patients and following them through the continuum of their health journey,” Dr. Todd said.

Dr. Todd’s office is located in the Parkridge Diagnostic Center at 2205 McCallie Ave. in Chattanooga.  He accepts most insurance plans and is now taking appointments. For more information, call (423) 698-2435 or visit ParkridgeHealth.com.
