James Daniel Plemons, 33, of Englewood, Tennessee, died on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at his residence.
He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and attended Delano Baptist Church. He had been employed at Waupaca for 14 years and most recently at Johns-Manville. He loved hunting and fishing and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ray Swilley; and paternal grandparents, Lewis and Ruth Plemons.
He is survived by his wife, Lindsey Plemons of Englewood; parents Michael & Susan Plemons of Riceville; one son, Casen Plemons of Englewood; one brother, Mikey Plemons of Athens; one sister Sherry Plemons of Athens; maternal grandmother, Marie Anderson of Athens; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lynn and Teresa Gay; sister-in-law Kimberly Schuman, all of Delano; grandparents-in-law, Faye and Kenneth Gay of Englewood and Sallie Curtis of Delano; nieces, Cassie Wright and Paisley Plemons; nephews, Cameron Wright, Josh Miller and Jacob Leatherman; and several other extended family members.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 28, from the Serenity Funeral Home Chapel at 7 p.m. with the Dr. John Powers officiating.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 29 at Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mikey Plemons, Jackie Lee Plemons, Lynn Plemons, Billy Bayes, Cameron Wright, Josh Miller and Tony Baker.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 28 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of the arrangements.
