Louis Joseph Benzoni, 86, of Dayton, Tennessee, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at his home.
Louis was born November 9, 1930 in Clusone Bergamo, Italy to the late Antonio Benzoni and Caterina (Trussardi) Benzoni. Louie lived in Dayton since 1978 and previously in North Kingstown, RI. He was a former pipefitter welder at TVA. He enjoyed wine making, flowers, vegetables and fruit gardening and making Italian sausages. He was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Monica (McCullagh) Benzoni of Dayton; three sons, Pierre Benzoni of Toms River, NJ, Sean Patrick (Rhonda) Benzoni, North Kingstown, RI and Kevin Benzoni of Cleveland, TN; daughter Yvana (Frederick) Stanek of Scottsdale, AZ; brother Mario (Luissa) Benzoni of Clusone, Italy; three sisters, Angela (Luigi) Pezzoli of Rovetta, Italy, Maria (Renzo) Mangili of Bergamo, Italy and Jacqui (Gianni) Ripamonti of Bergamo, Italy; and five grandchildren, Collin Patrick Benzoni, Jordan Patrick Benzoni, Derek Stanek, Michael Stanek and Christopher Stanek.
Mass of the Christian Burial for Louie will be celebrated Saturday, April 1, at 2 p.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church with Monsignor Al Humbrecht officiating.
The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends on Friday, March 31 after 5 p.m. A Scripture Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel.
