Dennis K. Grauman, 87, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, went home to the Lord on Saturday, March 18, 2017. 

Dennis was born on Jan. 30, 1930, in Jeffers, Mt.  He was the youngest of five children of Katherine and Otto Grauman.  He served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Naval Reserve from 1949-1955. 

He married Marjorie E. Potter on June 10, 1950, in Jeffers then moved to Whitehall, Mt. where they raised two children and lived until 1974.  He owned several of his own businesses in the Whitehall area. Marj and Dennis always enjoyed new adventures and after leaving Whitehall, lived in Phoenix, Az., Mariposa, Ca. and Castle Rock, Co. He moved to the Chattanooga area in 2001 following the death of his beloved Marjorie in 2000. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie, his daughter, Shauna, his daughter-in-law, Terry, his parents, two brothers and two sisters. 

He is survived by his son, Gary; son-in-law, Pat Hogan; grandsons, Jeremy Grauman and Kiel Hogan; granddaughter, Katie Grier, and his six great-grandchildren, Sophia Grier, Maya Grauman, Ian Grier, Truett Grauman, Emma Grauman and Trey Grauman.

A private family memorial will be held at his son’s home in Harrison.
