Henry “Hank” Compton, 66, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at his home.

For over a decade, Mr. Compton was a trustee and Sunday School teacher at Hillcrest Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Addie Sisk, and sisters, Bobbie, Kate, and Naomi.

Survivors include his wife, Glinda Compton; son, Mark Compton and Chuck (Karen) Lee; grandchildren, Lindi “Doodle” (Joe) Porter, Gracie “Grunt” Lee, Colin Lee, Grant Compton, Holly Morrison, Heather Pipkins, and Chris Malkoski; four great-grandchildren; brothers,  Sam and Frank; sisters, Ada, Evelyn, Lorine, and Georgia May.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Bobby Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. until the service hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
