First Annual Scenic City Sing-Off To Be Held May 4

  • Tuesday, March 21, 2017

The Chattanooga Girls Choir board of  directors presents the first annual Scenic City Sing-Off.  The live vocal competition will take place on Thursday, May 4 from 6:30-9 p.m. at The Church on Main.   Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

The first round of auditions, open to only 100 contestants, is open through March 31. Auditions are first held via YouTube.   Eighteen contestants will advance to a second round of live auditions where a panel of judges will narrow the group to nine finalists to compete during the grand finale.

A 10th “People’s Choice” contestant will be chosen by online votes or ‘likes’ on the contestant’s YouTube audition video.  The 10 finalists will perform live before an audience, and a panel of  judges will choose the winner as the event’s finale.

Judges are singer Robin Grant, WRCB’s David Karnes, and Nooga.com’s Sean Phipps.  The grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize.

Tickets for the event are now on sale and cost $35 per person.  For more information on auditions, complete rules and regulations, and ticket sales, visit www.sceniccitysingoff.com.
