Heritage House Hosts Craft 'N' Crop April 6

Monday, March 20, 2017

Craft 'N' Crop will take place at the Heritage House Arts & Civic Center, located at 1428 Jenkins Rd., on Thursday, April 6 at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to bring a potluck dish to share for dinner and then work on our various individual projects while sharing good conversation and positive feedback. There is no agenda and no structure, so attendees are free to come and go as their schedules require.

The April Craft ’n’ Crop at Heritage House will continue to help with a project with the local chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.

A.R.), and finish a couple of special projects to send to our Soldiers and Sailors overseas.

They will be completing the stuffing of and sewing up of numerous “mini hearts” which will travel with the troops. The hearts are designed to be small enough to be easily carried in the breast pocket so as to remind the troops that we are thinking of them back home. Once the mini-hearts are completed, the next soldier & sailor-related project will be creating miniature “tree skirts” to accompany miniature Christmas trees which will be shipped out this fall in time for the holidays.
