Center For Sports Medicine And Orthopaedics Is First Tenant For New 20-Acre Ringgold Development

  • Sunday, March 19, 2017
Armour Commercial Real Estate and the Catoosa County Development Authority announced the first tenant for a 20-acre site being jointly developed as part of a public/private partnership and located just off of Georgia Highway 2-A in Ringgold, Ga. The Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics will open a satellite location at the site located on Hwy 2-A across from Battlefield Imaging.
The Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics will be a state-of-the-art 13,000 square foot building that will include modern patient rooms and offices, an extensive physical therapy department and on-site digital imaging.
The clinical area will accommodate four physicians at one time and will offer same-day appointments for all orthopaedic related injuries and needs. Conveniently located on Battlefield Parkway, the new complex will provide plenty of parking and close access to a pharmacy.
“As our first tenant, the Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics is a great addition, and we’ve also had a lot of interest from other major healthcare facilities,” said Larry Armour, owner of Armour Commercial Real Estate. “The centrally located development on a heavily travelled thoroughfare is easily accessible and has high visibility. It will be an ideal location for a restaurant and retail of any size.”
The facility is scheduled to break ground in a few weeks and open in early fall 2017. The Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics is represented by Parker Wamack, NAI Realty and the site and facility design used Miller McCoy, Civil Engineers and Artech Design Group.
"We have enjoyed strong support from the residents of North Georgia for many years,” said Becky Farmer, CEO for Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics. “We are excited to open a new office that allows us to bring orthopaedic specialty care and physical therapy into this great community.”
Previous successful public/private ventures between Armour Commercial Real Estate and the Catoosa County Development Authority have resulted in more than 350,000 foot of retail development in Catoosa County in the last five years.
"We want to thank the Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics for making such a strong commitment in Ringgold and Catoosa County,” said Ringgold Mayor Nick Millwood and Catoosa County Development Authority Chairman Randall Peters. “In addition, we very much appreciate Larry Armour’s confidence in our area. His developments have had a tremendous economic impact.”
