Even A Kid Could Figure This Out

  • Wednesday, March 15, 2017

Two headline articles today caught my attention:  There is: Doctor Describes His Abduction By Gang Member From Ace Hardware Parking Lot On South Broad,  wherein an ex-convict repeats his previous sort of actions and terrifies a local citizen.

Then there is: 4 Sought For Violent Crimes In Chattanooga, describes four known criminals who are now wanted for their more recent unlawful activities.

And I say, even a kid could figure this out.  There's no mystery about what's going on here, no mystery at all.

Whether or not the story is true, I read that one time a group of Boy Scouts toured the FBI headquarters and were shown the Bureau's famous "Ten Most Wanted" photos on the wall.

One thoughtful boy waited for a couple of heartbeats, then asked in his youthful innocence, "Why didn't they just keep them when they took those photos?"

But such wisdom is obviously beyond the ones who insist on turning known criminals loose so they can continue to ply their evil trade, victimizing and terrorizing decent local folks who are trying to do right.

Maybe that's a good argument for lowering the voting age?  Even a kid could figure out how to stop this cycle of recurring crime.
