Cynthia Stanley-Cash Thanks Supporters

  • Monday, March 13, 2017

Please allow me this public opportunity to say thank you to all the voters who voted for me and those that attempted, but found they lived in another district.

On Tuesday, March 7, 2017, I was so humbled by the strong show of support at the polls from those who cast their votes for me, and others who attempted but found they lived in another City Council district.

I also, would like to take this opportunity to express my heart-felt thanks to my family, campaign team, friends, Riverside High School classmates, neighbors and loyal telephone supporters who contributed their time and effort to our campaign, and for believing in our 'We The People' message. A message that includes all of us working together in an effort to pursue initiatives that will reinvest our city and county tax dollars back into all our communities and small business plazas that are located throughout District 5.

Thank you also to Mr. John Wilson, Chattanoogan.com owner, you are truly a very fair, balanced and respectful person and have a quality news site.

As I attended forums, and walked as many communities as possible meeting and talking with homeowners and small business owners from Brainerd and Moore Roads to Highway 58 via Bonny Oaks, I found once beautiful subdivisions suffering from the same years of city roads, neighborhood services and pubic works department's infrastructure maintenance neglect.  I also met with numerous homeowners suffering from the shock of a recent property tax assessor mailing notification informing them/us that our District 5 homes' property value have decreased in value again.

Although I did not win the City Council District 5 seat, I am very pleased and appreciative of the outcome.  If you are a true believer, which I am, I asked God daily for His protection and for His will to be done and that it would be accepted by me.  We still won!  I am returning back to serve my neighbors as president of the North Brainerd Neighborhood Association, founding member of the Hamilton County Homeowners Council and co-hosting the 2 o'clock Community Hour on WNOO 1260AM and 107.3FM Clear Media Radio Station.  Stay tuned for more news to come from the communities in District 5.

Cynthia Stanley-Cash,
City Council District 5 Constituent
