The Future Business Leaders of America Chapter of McCallie has had a busy and efficient start to 2017.
Ten members of the club went to Knoxville to compete in the regional FBLA competition, while three other members took a test before the event.
All 13 members who took part in the regional competition were top finalists in their respective event and were invited to compete in the state tournament that will be held in Chattanooga.
Some of McCallie's top showings in Knoxville were Jesse Felker and McGavock O’Guin placing third in Hospitality Management, Davis McCloskey and Grayson Jones placing second in Sports and Entertainment, and FBLA President Zyan Wynn earning first in Public Speaking.
FBLA is also at work improving lives in their community. FBLA members worked with Widow’s Harvest to repair roofing a house for a widow. Widow’s Harvest is a missionary service that aids struggling Widows who live in the Chattanooga community.
