AAF Chattanooga Awards Competition Nets 3 Golds For ndp

The advertising agency ndp won three golds in the AAF Chattanooga American Advertising Awards 2017 on Feb. 18 for Universal Fibers and an agency self promotion.

The agency won two golds for Universal Fibers, which offers finished yarns in both single colors and multi-end specialties. One gold was for a print ad touting their Aloe line of color, showing carpet fibers woven into succulents in a desert scene in the Newspaper or Magazine Color category. The other was a gold for the ad’s artwork in the Elements of Advertising category.

Creative credits for both include ndp’s Jason Anderson (creative director), Grace Viertel (senior art director), Corey Thrasher (graphic designer), Denise Rushing (account wupervisor); Amy Smith and Michael Daily (account executives); Mike Nichols (copywriter-- gold in Newspaper or Magazine Color category only); Chelsea Smith (project manager); and Alice Blue (photography.)

A ndp welcome package designed to greet staff at an agency-wide retreat won a gold in Advertising Self Promotion/Special Event Materials. Amy Smith, a ndp account executive, said the AAF awards win was significant in the commercial fiber industry.  Appearing in magazines like FX and Contract, she said the ad stands out in telling the story about the use of color in a life-like way.
