Limited Residential Contractor Licensing Class Returns To Chattanooga State's Kimball Site

  • Wednesday, February 22, 2017

The Continuing Education Department of Chattanooga State Community College announced that its long-running Limited Residential Contractor Licensing Class is returning to the Kimball Site on April 7-15. The Kimball Site is located at 2100 Main Street in Kimball.

The 32 hours of instruction includes a review of the license application process, the International Building Code, an introduction to TN construction laws, legal and financial issues, accounting practices, loans, liens, and insurance.

Participants will learn how to read blueprints, build to specifications, and adhere to codes and regulations. Successful completion of this class exempts applicants from taking the contractor licensing exam if they want to obtain a limited residential contractor license (BC-Ar). All other rules, regulations, and statutes must be met to qualify.

The course meets the requirements of the Tennessee State Board for Restricted/Limited Residential License. Books and Materials are included in the $449 fee.

Class Dates are April 7, 8, 14 & 15, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time. Register at this link http://registration.xenegrade.com/cscc-ce/coursedisplay.cfm?schID=7406 or contact Oscar Brock at (423) 697-2670.
