The Amazing Acro-cats, a troupe of real house cats, will be performing at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre April 28-30. Shows are Friday, April 28, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 29, at 3 p.m. and Sunday, April 30, at 1 p.m.
Samantha Martin, animal trainer, has rescued her own cats and also found homes for over 190 cats and kittens. Reaching out to shelters in need and accepting cats found homeless in the streets, Ms. Martin has saved cats lives with positive reinforcement clicker training. The felines then take these abilities on the road and tour the nation in the acro-cat bus.
The cats will perform on a tightrope, balance and roll on a ball and ride a skateboard. The grand finale is the only all cat band in the world, Tuna and the Rock Cats. The current band lineup is Albacore and Ahi on cowbell and woodblock, Oz on guitar, Asti on drums, and Nue on keyboard...and now Buggles on trumpet.
Tickets are $21-38 and available online. Shows and tickets here. General admission is $23 adult, $21 student and is first some first seat in the theatre. It does include the meet and greet, which is right after the show. Student prices are honored with student ID present at time of entrance.
Very Important Cat Person tickets are $38 and is first come first seat in that section, which is in the very front of the audience, where the cat action is the best Also, VICP ticket holders get to be first in line for the meet and greet, which is right after the show.
