Rush, Roger Curtis

Roger Curtis Rush, 82, of Graysville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday February 18, 2017.

A native of Nashville, he had lived in the Graysville area for the past seven years and was formerly of Chattanooga. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a former employee of Quality Battery where he worked for four years. Roger was of the Southern Baptist faith and loved fishing and golf.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlene Rush; and parents, Winfred Alexander and Mary Pearl McAllister Rush.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Ann “Judy” Works Rush of Graysville; three children, Ronald E, Rush, Merri Carol Gardenhire and Kimberly Faith Rush of Boston; step-daughter, Robin Sawvell of Graysville; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Leonard and Janie Heatherly officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 12-1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
