Graves Votes To Restore States’ Right To Defund Planned Parenthood

Rep. Tom Graves on Thursday voted for and the House passed H.J. Res. 43, legislation to repeal the Obama administration’s rule that prevented states from withholding funding from abortion providers like Planned Parenthood. 

“Georgia should never be forced by the federal government to provide funds to abortion providers,” said Rep. Graves. “By reversing this Obama administration rule, we’re restoring the right of Georgia to provide tax dollars only to healthcare centers that do not perform abortions, which preserves women’s access to healthcare while saving the lives of the innocent unborn.”
