Erlanger Community Health Center Welcomes New Physician

Erlanger Community Health Center welcomes Dr. Shavonda Thomas to its growing network of physicians. 

Dr. Thomas received her doctorate degree in medicine from Augusta University’s Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga. She then completed internal medicine and preventive medicine residency programs at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine at Chattanooga and The University of North Carolina, respectively. 

As a board certified internal medicine physician with a master's degree in public health, Dr. Thomas is passionate about finding ways to use public health and clinical medicine to prevent chronic disease in underserved communities. 

“Dr. Thomas’s expertise will be highly valued at UT Erlanger Community Center,” said Angel Moore, CEO of Southside and Dodson Avenue Community Health Centers. “Her training and commitment to preventive and internal medicine will greatly benefit the Southside Chattanooga community.”
