Gladys Mae Chapman, 78, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at the family residence.  

She was a member of Samples Memorial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Chapman; parents, William Lee and Delise R. Adams; daughter, Tammy Shuiron Chapman and brother, Norman Adams.

She is survived by her three children, Johnny and Sharon Chapman, Sherry and Jimmy Higdon and Jerry and Linda Chapman; four grandchildren, Dusty Chapman, Ryan Chapman, Zack Higdon and Ciera Chapman; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Chapman and Ariat Thompson; brother, Preston Adams; special friend, Brenda Edwards and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Lee Ingram, Mike Rymer and Mark Cameron officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Dusty Chapman, Zack Higdon, Ryan Chapman, Chris Norwood, Roger Wheeler and Doug Ingram will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5–8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, at the funeral home.
