Lesley Foster
Lesley Gene Foster was born May 19, 1937, to the late Lesley and Myrtle Foster in Hillsboro, Alabama. He died on December 13, 2017 at Life Care Center of Ooltewah following a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s.
Lesley was a Navy veteran and retired from Mueller Company after 30 years of service.
Lesley was preceded in death by his parents, Lesley and Myrtle Foster and his brother, Jerome Foster.
He is survived by his wife, Merlean Foster; daughter, Renee Stephens; and sons, Arnold (Tracy) Foster and Clarence (Tamico) Adams; grandchildren, Erin Stephens (Amaad) Farris, Logan (Ashley) Foster, Landon Foster and Madison Sims; great-grandchildren, Lynnix and Asher Foster and Elina Foster; his brothers, Robert Foster, Wadsworth, Il. and Major (Juliet) Foster of Wadsworth, Il.; and sister, Kay Horton, Clanton, Al.; a host of nieces and nephews, as well as an adopted daughter, Susie Briggs and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 21, at 11 a.m. at Greater Friendship P.B. Church with Elder R. Lavon Yates officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Wednesday, Dec. 20. The wake will be held from 6-7 p.m.
