TVA Visitor Centers Closed For Season

  • Thursday, November 2, 2017

As the temperatures turn colder, the Tennessee Valley Authority staffed visitor centers at Norris, Fontana and Kentucky dams have closed after another successful season. These facilities will reopen in the spring of 2018.

Visitor centers at the Raccoon Mountain Pumped Storage facility near Chattanooga, and at South Holston and Fort Patrick Henry dams in northeast Tennessee remain open year-round, as well as informative display panels at Wilson and Guntersville dams in Alabama. Each offers information about TVA history, how it operates its electric system and how it manages the Tennessee River and its tributaries.

Visitor centers close for major holidays and during severe weather.  Additional information on all of TVA’s visitor centers can TVA’s website.
