Stinnett, Jo Ellen (Dayton)

Jo Ellen Stinnett, 78, of Dayton, died on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at the Tennova Medical Center in Cleveland.

Jo was born in Dayton on Jan. 28, 1939, the daughter of the late Jack and Bridgett (Thurman) Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Stinnett and her two brothers, JD “Slim” Morgan and Jerry Morgan.

Jo lived most of her life in Dayton where she was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and singing. 

She is survived by her four children, Rickie (Denise) Stinnett of Dayton, Virginia (Michael) Jenkins of Gaffney, SC, Frances (Dion) Bartel of Dayton and Mark (Donna) Stinnett of Dayton, nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, four brothers, Jim (Alice) Morgan, Jack (Sarah) Morgan, Eddie (Betty) Morgan and Rev. George (Charlotte) Morgan all of Dayton, three sisters, Charlotte Brock of Dayton, Beth (Rodney) Ricker of Morristown and Patricia (Brian) Dunshaw of Monroe, GA.

Funeral services for Jo will be held Sunday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with her brother, Reverend George Morgan officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Rhea Memory Gardens.
