Grady Harold Hix, 87 , of Trion, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017. He was born in Chattanooga to the late Luther and Effie Eva Goins Hix. He had been a resident of Trion since 1974 where he was the co-owner of H&H Scrap Metal. He enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, riding motorcycles and collecting coins.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Virginia Adaline Hix; daughters: Deborah Kelsoe, Sheila Guffey; sisters: Marvarine Holdaway, Kathleen Shields; brothers: Frank Hix and Raymond Hix.
He is survived by his children: Pamela (Terry) Glover of Ringgold; Patricia Hix, Teresa (Allen) Hill, all of LaFayette, Helen (Robert) Hill of Trion, Grady (Amanda) Hix of LaFayette; eighteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 2-9 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 16 in the morning until the funeral. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. in the chapel on Thursday, Nov. 16 with Reverend Justin Kelsoe officiating. Burial will at LaFayette City Cemetery – LaFayette.
