The Master Gardeners of Hamilton County host their free live wreath making class on Saturday
The Master Gardeners of Hamilton County will host their popular annual free class on Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon. Participants will make their own live holiday wreath using fresh greenery and other decorations from the garden.
Participants should bring their own wreath base (12-16 inches in diameter) made of grapevine, wire or other material, as well as any other special decorations. Master Gardeners provide greenery and other natural elements from their own gardens and assist with instructions and ideas to create a beautiful, original result.
The class is limited to 30 participants so that everyone may work comfortably on their projects.
Carol Mathews, chair of the MGHC Education committee, said, “So many different plants and natural decorations can be used to make live wreaths. Their fresh feel and fragrance will add a special touch to your holiday decorating.”
The class will be held at the UT Extension Ag Center, 6183 Adamson Cir., off Bonny Oaks Drive, in the ground floor meeting room.
