Southern Adventist University Honors MLK Jr. Day Through Service For 24th Year

Southern Adventist University will host its 24th annual Community Service Day in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, concluding a week of service emphasis. The event will be on Monday, from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., and coordinates students and faculty to serve local organizations and community members within the Chattanooga area.

This year Southern is partnering with more than 30 organizations including the Chattanooga Zoo, Salvation Army, Tech Town, Crab Tree Farm, American Red Cross, and the Samaritan Center.

Topping off last’s years attendance of 900 students, more than 1,000 participants are expected this year.
