Gudrun McBryar–Manis, 71, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, January 9, 2017.

She was born in Germany in 1945 and immigrated to the US in 1966.  Gudrun spent over a quarter of a century working tirelessly at her store, Charlie’s Quick Stop, where she was affectionately known as “Mrs. Charlie”. She was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Billy.

Survivors include her husband, Charlie; son, Ralf; daughter, Jeannie; five grandchildren, Heather, Jessica, Will, Aerial and Kaitlyn; two great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Eddie Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the McKamey Animal Center, 4500 North Access Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415.
