Wooten, Bertha Lanier

Bertha Lanier Wooten, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017.  

She was a member of Pathway Baptist Church and had volunteered for many years at Hemlock Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Roy Wooten and 11 siblings.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Raymond Hood; son, Allan Wooten; one granddaughter, Vikki Hood; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Reverend Mark Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the funeral home.

Reworked Miller Park, Connections To Cost Up To $8.4 Million

A reworked Miller Park with improved connections to Patten Parkway and MLK Boulevard will cost $7.6 million. With contingencies, the price tag is tabbed at $8.4 million.
