Local Woman’s Noah’s Ark Sculpture On Display At Garden Plaza Jan. 26

  • Monday, January 23, 2017
Garden Plaza of Greenbriar Cove, 4586 Forsythia Way in Ooltewah, will display a large replica of Noah’s ark on Thursday.

Guests can admire the 4 feet by 2 ½ feet by 4 ½ feet wooden creation made by Pam Lewis, who teaches scroll saw classes at the independent living community. It took Ms. Lewis (and those who assisted her) more than 360 hours to complete the model.

Ms. Lewis will be available to answer questions from 6:30-8:30 p.m., though the ark will remain on display at Garden Plaza through Thursday, Feb.
2.

The ark itself is capped by a rainbow and comes with 42 sets of wooden animals and eight wooden figures, representing Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives. Ms. Lewis made the ark to send to a church and school campus in Arkansas to use in teaching children the Bible story of the flood.
