Charles Poteet, 58, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017.
A lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, he attended Covenant Life Church in Chickamauga.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Poteet; sister, Cindy Smith; maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda Dale Smith Poteet of Centre, Al.; sister, Tonya (David) Chastain of Chickamauga; two nephews, Colt (Hannah) Chastain, and Lucas Chastain; niece, Sarah Shrader; great nieces, Jessie Tolbert, Jamie Tolbert, Everly Chastain.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Fort Oglethorpe Dialysis Clinic or to the Kidney Foundation.
Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
