David Lee Webb, 76, of Etowah, Tennessee, died on Monday morning , January 16, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loved ones, after an extended illness.
Born on November 8, 1940 in Tiffin, OH to the late Robert and Dehlia Webb, he retired from Campbell’s Soup in 1999, moved to Florida for three years and settled down in Etowah in 2005. He was also previously employed at Basol Maintenance in Findlay, Ohio, and worked in Construction in Ohio and California. David also served as a cadet civil air patrol for three years in Ohio when he was younger. He was a member of Athens Lutheran Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step- parents, T.J. Stephens and Edna Webb; and a brother, Brad Allen Stephens.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Marie Webb of Etowah; children from a previous marriage, Brad Allan Webb of McComb, OH, Denise Elaine Craft and husband Mike of Findlay, OH and Dennis Lee Webb of Findlay, OH; step-children, Jodi Lynne Caltrider and husband Steve of South Lyons, MI, Todd Edward Osborn and wife Charlene of Defiance, OH and Wendy Fite of Athens; sisters, Jane Radabaugh and husband Doug of Findlay, OH, Judy Fenton and husband Chip of Bowling Green, OH and Kathy Green and husband Robert of Citrus Heights, CA; a brother, Jack Webb of Canton City, CO; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, at Athens Lutheran Church with Reverend Jace Dietre and Reverend Jan Munch officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery with Brad Webb, Dennis Webb, Todd Osborn, Brandon Osborn, Mike Croft and Nathan Croft serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. at the church prior to the service on Thursday.
