Winonina Gail Jackson, 64, of Lyerly, Georgia, died on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Jackson was born April 11, 1952, in Rising Fawn, daughter of the late Robert E. and Unasee Taylor Lea. She attended the Redemption Worship Center, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Herschel Lea, Ray Lea, David Lea, Terry Lea, and Jimmy Lea; sisters, Margaret “Dimple” Ward, Naomi Jo Moses, and Mary Helton.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband, Jerry W. Jackson; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Debbie Jackson, Michael and Ashley Jackson, John and Amanda Jackson; brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Alvie Lea; sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenda and Steve Eden, Carole and Terry Ramey; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jackson will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Reeves, Reverend Gary Diggs, and Reverend Lebron Long officiating. Interment will follow in the Bankhead Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Matt Dye, Scott Helton, Daniel Eden, Jacob Eden, Joseph Eden, Joshua Eden, Simon Eden, and Billy Kines. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Ramey, Donny Jackson, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mrs. Jackson will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 16.
