Praying As Trump Takes Office

  • Saturday, January 14, 2017

In just six days Donald Trump will be our next president. In the span of the months proceeding the event of the 20th we have seen a man seemingly fixated on objects much like the baby watching the colorful star.

Trump's entire personality is one of bombast, ego and money. He appears only to be for Donald and yet the American voter chose him over the seasoned, experienced and relevant candidate with huge downsides. Do I blame the voter? The simple answer is I don't know yet.  It is the yet that has me very worried about this guy that talks so much about himself and wonder, really, if he is capable of thinking in the real world of nuance, balance and humility.

Our out-going leader had those great qualities and he leaves office popular.  We must now wait to see if the cabinet chosen by Trump resembles him or the true needs of the country. Based on the Senate hearings I hear promise and reason may balance out a maniacal ego-driven Donald Trump.

Please pray with me.
