Replace Before Repeal

I would ask the Congress not to vote to replace Obamacare without a viable replacement option in place.

Everyone deserves to have some level of health insurance that will give them reasonable access to healthcare and protect them from bankruptcy,  in the event of a catastrophic illness or accident. Today, about 20 million people who were previously unable to afford health insurance now have it.

Plus, under Obamacare, children can stay on their parents plan until age 26, giving needed time to finish their education and establish employment, before having to buy their own coverage. Obamacare also prevents insurance companies from denying coverage to someone due to a pre-existing condition.

These provisions of Obamacare  were needed in America and are overall good improvements.

I'm sure there are ways to further improve the healthcare system, but repealing Obamacare without having a viable replacement option in place is not the answer.

I agree with Lamar Alexander.  Congress should put people's lives ahead of politics.
