JoAnn Tramble Flanagan, 70, was called to be with the Lord, on Friday, January 6, 2017, in a local hospital. 

She was born December 13, 1946, in Chattanooga.

She was a graduate of Howard High School, Class of 1967. She retired from Bunge Oil after over 20 years of service and was a lifelong member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Hannah Tramble; stepmother, Margie L. Tramble, and brother, Frank Tramble, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Willie James Flanagan; her sons, Gary (Karen) McClendon and Efrem Q. Flanagan; stepdaughter, Sonja Johnson; sisters, Brenda (Troy) Battle and Frankie (Benny) Hartman; family friend, Eddie Ashley; grandchildren, Chenoa A. McClendon, Ashley L. McClendon, Michael L. McClendon, Gary L. McClendon II, Trey L. McClendon, Jamarion D. Flanagan; great-grandchildren, Jamaria D. Flanagan, Genesis M. Hill; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m.

The body will lie in state after noon on Wednesday, Jan. 11, and the family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.



Ramsey, Angela

Angela Michelle Ramsey, 50, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017, in Chattanooga.  Funeral services will be held at  1 p.m. on    Saturday, Oct. 21, in the chapel. Silvers, Linda Darlene

Linda “Darlene” Silvers, 65, of Rossville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. She had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas for most of her life and was a member of the City Church in Chattanooga. Ralph Willis, 61, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2017, after a lengthy illness of several years. He was a member of Full Gospel House of Prayer. $125 Million County School Building Plan Includes Shifting CSLA To Tyner Middle; Combining Tyner High/Middle; New Harrison Elementary, New East Hamilton Middle
