Goode, Lois "Mamaw Loisy" (Cleveland)

Lois “Mamaw Loisy” Goode, 68, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Monday September 26, 2016 in a Chattanooga hospital.

She was the daughter of the late John Goode and Evelyn Goode Allen; and was also preceded in death by her step-father Ernest Allen; and her sister Diane Allen.

She was a faithful Child of the King and a 40 year member of New Salem Baptist Church where she was a primary Sunday School Teacher for over 45 years. She retired from Hardwick Clothes with over 30 years of service. She loved walking, working puzzle books and teaching. She was always thoughtful of others sending cards and notes of encouragement.

She is survived by her sister Linda Hicks of Farner TN; her brother Doug Goode and his wife Darlene of Etowah; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and her special friends Betty Rutledge and Barbara McKinney.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Rev. A.C. Cooper officiating. The interment will follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church cemetery with Cullan Orr, Ethan McNelly, Jeremy Monger, John Hicks, Chaffie Cooper and Isaac Hicks serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Luke Orr, Memphis Flowers, Jasper Flowers and Hayden Monger.

Jim Rush Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
