Caitlyn Faith Johnson, 17, of Signal Mountain, will represent Chattanooga as she competes for the title of Miss Tennessee Teen USA
Caitlyn Faith Johnson, 17, of Signal Mountain, will compete for the title of Miss Tennessee Teen USA 2017 on Oct. 6, 7 and 8 at the Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn. She will be representing the city of Chattanooga as Miss Chattanooga Teen USA.
Ms. Johnson attends Signal Mountain High School and she is an active member in the Mock Trial, Youth in Government, and Model UN teams. Her sponsors for the pageant include Complete Training (Kyle Winton), social security firm Dale Buchanan & Associates, and hair salon Studio B-3 (Andrew Burns).
The Miss Tennessee Teen USA and Miss Tennessee USA pageants are the official preliminaries to the Miss Teen USA, Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants and are a WME/IMG joint venture. The young woman chosen as Miss Tennessee Teen USA 2017 will go on to represent the state of Tennessee in the 2017 Miss Teen USA pageant.
Ms. Johnson has a fundraising page at gofund.me/2ds3arfw. The proceeds are being used to fund her trip to the pageant and any leftover funds are being donated to the Chattanooga Area Foster and Adoptive Care Association to support her platform, raising awareness for foster children with mental illnesses.
