Patricia Martin Lawhorn, 64, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, September 1, 2016. 

She was born on Nov. 7, 1951 to the late John and Jane Martin, Jr. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School. She worked for John Martin Co. Inc and most recently the U. S. Postal Service as a mail carrier. Pat came to be known as the family historian with her many photos and Digital Scrapbooking.  Her cross stitching was a work of art that the nieces and nephews will treasure in the blankets she made for them.  Pat was an avid reader and loved animals. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Jane Martin, Jr., siblings, Lynn Crantford and Richard Martin. She is survived by her brothers, Jack (Susie) Martin, Bob Martin and Brother in law Bobby Crantford; Sisters, Joanne (Bill Toop) Martin, Nancy (Pat) Neuhoff, Susan (Robert) Blasius, Pam (Joe) Franklin and a life long best friend Kay Hines Tatum and twelve nieces and nephews Frank Martin, Julie Whary, John (Kelly) Crantford, Chris Crantford, Amy (Mark) Smith, Matt (Clarissa) Martin, Emily (Kyle) Farnsley, Megan Neuhoff, Taylor Vaughn, Joseph (Emily Pennington) Franklin, Daniel Neuhoff, and Chase Blasius she considered these her children.

A special thanks to all her caregivers, Kay, Gloria, Kathy, Karl, Nancy, Joanne, Chris, Emily, Daniel, Amy and Pam and all those who could not be here but prayed for her peace and comfort.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with Reverends James Vick, Adam Royal, Mike Nolan and Joe McMahon. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:30-11 a.m. on Saturday, in the Church 501 S. Moore Road, Chattanooga.

Pat’s only regret is that she did not get to vote Republican one last time.
