Dortha Mae Fraley, 86, of Soddy Daisy, died on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at her home.

She lived in Soddy Daisy most of her life and was of the Church of God faith. Dortha loved to garden, canning and taking care of her family. She never met a stranger and always welcomed you in her home for a meal.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anne Higgins. 

Survivors are her husband of 68 years, R.C. Fraley; sons, Gene Fraley (Ellie) and Glenn Fraley; grandchildren, Robby Fraley (Beth), Natasha Braly (Glen), Amanda Moshier (Mike) and Cody Fraley (Casie); great-grandchildren, Asher Fraley, Deforrest Braly, Nixon Braly, Emerson Moshier, Ansley Moshier, Logan Fraley and Brooklyn Fraley and several nieces and nephews. 

Services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend James Sandell and Reverend Bob Carrol officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
