The Covenant women's soccer team notched its sixth straight win, and third consecutive shutout, with a 3-0 win over USA South foe LaGrange on the road on Saturday evening.
Covenant improves to 6-1 overall and remains perfect in USA South play at 4-0. The Lady Scots currently sit atop the USA South West Division standings with that perfect conference mark. LaGrange drops to 1-7-2 on the year and 0-4-1 inside the USA South.
Anna Robertson posted her first career goal and assist on the evening to lead the Covenant attack. Robertson assisted on the first goal when Savanna Cingilli found the back of the net to give the Lady Scots a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute. The goal was Cingilli's team-leading third of the season. Robertson had the final tally with a goal in the 50th minute, assisted by Grace Buys, for her first collegiate score.
Rebekah Gravitt gave Covenant a 2-0 lead heading into halftime with her first goal of the season coming in the 35th minute. Kaitlyn Winking was credited with her first assist of the year on the goal.
Covenant outshot the host Panthers 12-5 in the contest and limited LaGrange to just two shots on goal. Rachel Lemay (6-1) gets her fourth shutout of the year after making two saves in just over 60 minutes at the net. Jordan Brett came on for the final 30 minutes. Jesse Grogan (1-6-2) and DeAundra Green each made three saves for the Panthers.
The Lady Scots' defense has not allowed a goal in nearly 292 minutes of game action. The six-match win streak is the longest for the program since 2012.
