Contemplative Outreach of East Tennessee will sponsor a workshop on the “Welcoming Prayer” from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1 at Grace Episcopal Church, 20 Belvoir Ave
Providing guidance for those attending will be the Rev. Tom Ward, former chaplain at the University of the South in Sewanee. He regularly holds Contemplative Outreach retreats at St. Mary’s Sewanee.
The Welcoming Prayer is a way to consent to God’s presence and action in each individual’s physical and emotional situations in daily life. No experience necessary.
Cost is $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Deadline for registration is Sept. 23. Lunch is included with advance registration.
