Pickin' On Poetry Is At The Camp House Sept. 14

Pickin' On Poetry: Discussing Intersections and Influences of Poetry in American Songwriting will be held at the Camp House on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m.  Admission is free. 

It will be a thought-provoking conversation about contemporary poetry and American songwriting.  The event will host Rebecca Gayle Howell, senior editor at Oxford American and Ansel Elkins, contributing poet to Oxford American, and be moderated by Joseph Jordan, professor of English at UTC. 

This event is a conversational collaboration with the UTC Fine Arts Center and SoundCorps before a Rosanne Cash concert on Sept. 16 by Patten Performances.
