Wilkes T. Thrasher Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post 4848 Celebrates New Building

The Wilkes T. Thrasher Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4848 celebrated its new building grand opening and flag raising on Saturday.

 

Its membership attended in numbers, several dignitaries and friends went to celebrate.

Tennessee 3rd District Congressman Honorable Chuck Fleischmann spoke at the flag raising.  State Senators Bo Watson and Todd Gardenhire were also in attendance, as were City Councilman Chip Henderson and Larry Grohn.

 

Officials said, "It was an honor to have these gentlemen at our event. We were also honored to have several State VFW officers in attendance."
