CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Cleveland’s Dallas McCrary passed for 199 yards and touchdowns to Skyler Davis and Zylan Cooper on Friday and the Blue Raiders defeated East Hamilton, 34-6, in non-region high school football action at Benny Monroe Stadium.
McCrary hooked up with Davis on a 77-yard bomb to open Cleveland’s scoring in the first quarter.
In the second period, McCrary found Cooper on a 16-yard scoring strike.
JaShawn Hill recovered an East Hamilton blocked punt for another Blue Raider touchdown, Micaleous Elder ran 5 yards for a third-quarter touchdown and Keegan Jones darted 2 yards for the final score.
East Hamilton averted a shutout when Andrew Sturdivant hit paydirt from 1 yard out as the game ended. Sturdivant led the Hurricanes’ ground attack with 49 yards on 10 tries.
McCrary completed 11-of-21 passes in the game and the two scores and Elder was Cleveland’s leading rusher with 64 yards on seven carries. The Blue Raiders had a total of 149 yards on the ground.
Cleveland is now 2-0 on the young season and has outscored the two opponents by a combined 85-26.
East Hamilton dropped to 1-1.
