Chattanooga State Athletic Hall of Fame To Induct 9

The 2016 Athletic Hall of Fame reception will be held on Thursday, Sept. 1, beginning at 7 p.m. in OMN-124/126 (Faculty/Staff Dining Room), in the Omniplex building on the main campus of Chattanooga State Community College. This event celebrates the induction of distinguished alumni, coaches, staff and community sponsors.

Chattanooga State recognizes the contributions of extraordinary competitors Elaine Peigen, 1979-80 basketball; Andy Simunic, 2005-06 baseball; Jill Crawford Higdon, 1999-2000 softball; and Joe Blansit, Jamie Moody, Chuck Pool, Brian Profitt, John Seay, and Brian Thomas, 1991 tennis team.

In addition, Distinguished Service Awards will be presented to Rick Hunter, Hunter Oil Company; and Kim Weems Smith, former athletic director, basketball coach, and committed supporter of Chattanooga State Athletics.
